After the escape from Earth-2 and
closing of all the breaches, Team Flash had to deal with the death of Jay Garrick
and the resurgence of a thought-to-be-dead villain, King Shark who happens to
have been under the generous accommodation of evil corp, A.R.G.U.S. Team Flash
teamed up with A.R.G.U.S. led by Diggle and Lyla to take down the metahuman who
is now stuck on Earth-1 once and for all.
EARTH-2 AFTERMATH
So, even though the team was seemingly
free of Earth-2, they were still hunted by the events that occurred. The whole
team generally dealing with the death of Jay. Barry with the weight of the world
on his shoulders blaming himself for everything. Cisco with the fear of Caitlin
becoming Killer Frost with her dealing with the tragedy of Jay’s death (He did
get served for that). Jesse and Harry trying to get along and accepting that
they’re stuck in Earth-1 for good with all the breaches closed.
A.R.G.U.S. BUSINESS WITH THE SHARKS
In a step-by-step effort to
cleanup Waller’s mess, Lyla and Diggle had to deal with King Shark (who
apparently we assumed dead). It’s not surprising A.R.G.U.S. under Waller’s
directive would be looking to weaponize metahumans’ abilities; so typical
Amanda (some part of me still wishes she wasn’t dead though). It was cool to
have Diggle and Lyla in CC and it’s still amusing to watch how he reacts to
Barry doing his thing every time; like he’ll never get used to it and I can
never get tired of his awe.
A.R.G.U.S. teamed up with Team
Flash to take down King Shark and it was all an exciting experience. Ugh! King
Shark is one freaky meta. That his opening scene sent a subtle but yet significant
shiver down my spine. I feel it’s been a while Earth- 1 death with a worthwhile
villain and King Shark was that.
BATTLE OF THE SONS
Barry vs. Wally: I figured this
was going to happen sooner or later; it’s only natural. Who can blame Wally for
being jealous of Barry? I mean, Barry is like the golden child of the family who
Wally has heard so much about and then he meets Barry and he’s underwhelmed. Barry
wasn’t exactly in a good place at that moment but Wally doesn’t know that, he
just knows here’s this guy my dad and sister lauds so much and he’s being a
not-exactly-superstar (I opted for the compound word because under no heaven
will I use Barry and an abusive word in the same line; he is my golden child,
lol). Glad that phase has been dealt with and now I hope they’ll get to know
each other better (yeah, supposing his other side job doesn’t get in the way
too much)
THE FIXES
As always, everyone was able to
deal with their issues and resolved to be stronger. Jesse and her dad are
getting along just fine. Caitlin will be just fine especially with having great
friends around her. Barry and Wally… well, brothers get along eventually…
oftentimes. Barry owned his faults and resolved to be motivated to fix their
Zoom situation through it especially for Jay (who also is the problem, sort
of). We haven’t seen the end of Earth-1/Earth-2 crossover and it can only get
better.
JAY GARRICK AND WELL... THE ZOOM JAY
Ah-ha! I knew it was only a
matter of a couple of episodes away from last week’s at most before Zoom’s
identity was revealed. It’s Jay Garrick!! Or someone with his face at least. I don’t
even know. Maybe it’s Hunter Zolomon. This revelation only brings so much more questions
like: what the heck is going on? Just how many people has that face? Who is the
real Jay? What did Zoom/Jay/Zoom-Jay mean by complication?
Questions. Questions. We’ll start
getting answers from next episode (only about a month away!!!!!). Right now
though, The Flash is getting to that plot twist climax that always leaves us
hungry for that season finale. This episode was epic.

The Flash isn’t on next Tuesday (I know, it’s heartbreaking). The Flash returns to TV on March 22 on The CW at 8/7c. Don’t miss it, you can’t afford to, lol.
