ALMOST HUMAN 1x09 TONIGHT



Almost Human returns tonight, Hurray!

After 3 weeks of hiatus from the year 2048 world of Detective John Kennex and Dorian, we journey back tonight when the 9th episode in the first season of this great TV series.

Happy new month everyone! It’s February and February comes with goodies for movie watchers. A number of movies much anticipated for is coming out this month. The Lego movie, Robocop, Vampire Academy, Son of God… if you have seen the trailers of any of these movies, you will get what I am talking about.
For this week, we have two movies to talk about.

GIMME SHELTER
Based on a true story, the movie revolves round a teenager, Apple Bailey who has never had an easy life. Her mother, June, is an addict and prostitute, is verbally and physically abusive, and is grooming her daughter to follow in her footsteps. Apple knows the streets, alleys and motels like the back of her hand but wants more from her life. She possesses a tenacious, tough, indomitable spirit, and will not surrender to fate. Apple runs away from her mother and tracks down her father whom she has never known, as he was only 19 when he got Apple’s mother pregnant. As she sets out to find her Wall Street father, she is forced into the streets in a desperate journey of survival. (Read more)

DEVIL’S DUE
On their honeymoon, Zach and Samantha McCall experience a mysterious lost night and 1-2 weeks later, Samantha learns that she is pregnant. Although this is unexpected, the McCalls are delighted. But soon things begin to go wrong for the couple: Samantha suffers bizarre physical reactions to her pregnancy and the couple suspects they are being watched. As the terror mounts, it becomes clear that what's in store for the McCalls is far from a happy event. (Read more)

IN THEATER THIS WEEK


Happy New Year! It’s 2014; wish you all a great year ahead. It’s definitely going to be a great year movie-wise because there are tons of awesome movies lined up for premiere this year and you sure want to see them. Hercules, The Amazing Spiderman 2, Guardians of the Galaxy, Edge of tomorrow, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay I, How to Train your Dragon 2, Transformers: Age of Extinction, Divergence, Rio 2, Noah, X-Men: Days of Future Past, 22 Jump Street, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, The Maze Runner… I could go on and on and on and on. Yeah! This year of definitely full of awesome movie line-ups.

The votes are in and finally ready guys. After the first vote and the 15 movies were shortlisted for both categories, the rank votes are  Thor: the Dark World was voted the No. 1 most awesome movie of 2013 and Scary Movie 5 was voted the dumbest movie of 2013. 2013 AWESOME AND LAME MOVIES: TIME TO RANK


A big ‘THANK YOU’ to those of you who submitted the list for the ‘Most Awesome and Dumbest movies’ all through e-mails I must say and thank you. So, the list was quite a handful to collate as there were a lot of movies lists submitted especially for the ‘most awesome’ category.
