Basically, it pretty much explained lot of questions I had
last week.
Whew! Some episode that was last
night. Maybe it’s just me but there was lot of crazy mad scientist time
travelling talk happening in episode 10 but before I get to the crazy, let’s
talk other stuff, shall we?
I definitely have no lost love for Francine but she’s dying
so…it kind of will be wrong to hate on her and besides, we all make mistakes. Joe
looked devastated when he came back from seeing her; apparently she doesn’t have
much time left. He advised Iris to go see her and he escorted her to the
hospital. It was touching to see them trying to make amends and Iris even had
the big sister talk with Wally and it helped.
So, Parry is officially over, for now at least. I honestly
still do not see the sense in why Barry wouldn’t admit his secret to her even
after she figured it out. I think it just doesn’t make any sense whatsoever. And
then he didn’t think when she called him on the train and then he admits there? Why did they have to make Patty stick around that long and throw herself all out like that just for Barry to fight for her to stay and he didn't (not when it mattered at anyways)? Pfft! There goes my favourite couple in Central City.
In trying to help Jay, Caitlin had this crazy idea of using
genes or something from his Earth 1 doppelganger but when she and Barry couldn’t
find him, she confronts him about it he takes her to the park to show him Earth
1 Jay Garrick whose name in this earth turns out to be Hunter Zolomon. Wait a
minute! Isn’t that the name of evil Zoom from the comics? BTW, Jay himself is starting to bore me, just saying.
Cisco! Cisco!! Cisco!!! Oh how dear you are to our hearts. We
just couldn’t let you go and we would even let the evil reverse flash go just
to make sure you don’t die or fade into nothingness or at least that’s what I thought
they prevented.
So, apparently this reverse flash has not yet traveled back
in time to kill Nora and he doesn’t even know Barry because this very version
of Eobard Thawne had never been here. It’s an older version of him that comes
back. To put it simply, the Eobard Thawne from season 1 met “Flash” for the
first time in this episode. Does that sound senseless? Yeah, I know it probably
does especially if you had no understanding of this whole time travelling
concept which The Flash has been trying to educate us on and bring us to speed
on since last season.
My recommendation: Go watch (if you haven’t or re-watch) “Back
to the Future” trilogy and The Time Traveler’s wife. Both movie should help, I hope.
I only watched both recently myself and it helped me more. The time traveler’s
wife is a 2009 movie adaptation of the book of the same title by Audrey Niffenegger. It should
help simplify the crazy time talk happening right now. And then my personal
favourite recommendation, Dr. Emmett Brown who should help you understand this
concept like “a b c”. If his weirdness and craziness doesn’t overwhelm you that
it (haha). You will meet this interesting genius scientist with Marty McFly in
the Back to the Future trilogy movie and I promise you will enjoy the ride. I hope
it helps.
