There are 5 movies in all on the list for this week
  • Frozen
  • Black Nativity
  • Oldboy
  • Homefront
  • Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom

Frozen tells the story of a fearless optimist Princess Anna who embarks on an journey with Kristoff, a rugged mountain man to find her sister, Elsa whose icy powers has trapped the kingdom in eternal ice. She various creatures and challenges on the way and all that. I really look forward to seeing this movie because it’s animation (I REALLY love animated movies) and it has a nice and fun plot. This movie is going to be a treat for this holiday, it will be fun and relaxing to watch, you know; something to put you on that great mood into Thanksgiving.

Black Nativity is about some teenage boy that was raised by his single mother who has to go send the holidays in New York with his estranged relatives after they were evicted from their apartment in Boston. I can imagine it playing out; like some boy who has to go live with some people he doesn’t know who happens to be his relatives, he probably doesn’t fancy the idea at first but he ends up having one of the best holiday experience of his life. might I add that the cast is great. There’s Forest Whitaker, Angela Bassett, Tyrese Gibson, Jennifer Hudson and Mary J. Blige to name a few. I’ll love to watch.

Then, there is Oldboy. It focuses on a Joe Doucet who was suddenly released for no apparent reason after being kidnapped and held prisoner for twenty years. He decides to go on mission to find out the reason behind his kidnapping, release and vengeance. I particularly like love the caption of this movie: “Ask not why you were imprisoned. Ask why you were set free”. Really, I can’t even start to imagine the action and mystery, hopefully. According to Wiki, Oldboy is an American remake of 2003 Park Chan-wook South Korean cult film, which is based on the Japanese manga with the same name. I haven’t seen the manga version, but I hope this movie makes sense, if you know what I mean.

Jason Statham is gracing us with his presence this week in Homefront and I want to see it. He stars as a low-level DEA agent who finds his quiet family life turned upside down when he gets tangled up with a local druglord. It sure is going to be action-packed. How can it not be? This is Jason Statham we are talking about and he has this way of always making you feel the action in the movie and guess who else is on this cast? The Oz Wizard himself, James Franco. Feeling the fun into Thanksgiving yet? I definitely am.

Last but not the least this week is a biography movie based on the life of the first democratically elected President of South Africa, Nelson Mandela in Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom and you know who potrays the character of Nelson Mandela? Idris Elba! I’m a huge fan of his and if you have an idea of who Nelson Mandela his and some of the thing she has achieved, you will know this movie is surely not going to be a waste of your black Friday time.

Lest I forget, Happy Thanksgiving everyone; have a blissful holiday! I won’t be celebrating Thanksgiving because it’s not a thingy thing in my country, not like in the US but I’m going to have a lovely week too, hopefully. Have a blast guys.

Bye.
