ARROW – Eleven-Fifty-Nine

All cat’s out of the bag now, at last! Andy is a traitor, he’s been playing the team all season long. Now we know who is in the grave. It is Laurel Lance a.k.a. Black Canary. Am I excited about that or annoyed? I’ll get to that in just a moment.

The episode starts with Andy feeding John some bull story about Malcolm and seemingly being on Team Arrow’s side which took Spartan and Green Arrow away from the cave in enough time to have Malcolm infiltrate the hideout and steal the idol. BTW how does that man still have (former) members of the League of Assassins (which allegedly doesn’t exist anymore) at his bidding?

CRASH REVIEWS – The Flash & Arrow

Hey guys! I’m so sorry I’ve like being on some sort of personal hiatus for a while now. Had some nasty personally stuff to deal with and seems to be a downside to running a one-man show here, I was hooked up and so was the blog. Apologies.

I have four episodes outstanding to review (2 episodes of The Flash and 2 episodes of Arrow). I’ll just brush through ‘em real quick and I mean really reeeeally quickly.

Arrow - Taken

This episode of Arrow surely isn’t the best so far. I hoped for something more thrilling especially considering it’s the last one before the 3 weeks hiatus. It’s not like the episode was generally bad though but we’ve seen better. It was just underwhelming in my own opinion. I wanted Taken to give us some epic cliffhanging stuff or something to make us want to really have March 23 like tomorrow but the only thing making me yearn for that date is because I’m a fan of the show; so… loyalty. The episode didn’t give me that.

THE FLASH - King Shark

After the escape from Earth-2 and closing of all the breaches, Team Flash had to deal with the death of Jay Garrick and the resurgence of a thought-to-be-dead villain, King Shark who happens to have been under the generous accommodation of evil corp, A.R.G.U.S. Team Flash teamed up with A.R.G.U.S. led by Diggle and Lyla to take down the metahuman who is now stuck on Earth-1 once and for all.

ARROW – Code of Silence

James Bamford truly is the king of stunts and it definitely was once again proven by his directing of Code of Silence – we got pretty load of purposeful action-packed fight sequences which was a warm welcome for me. So Malcolm has earned a seat on the H.I.V.E. board members seat – I guess it’s safe to say goodbye to good ol’ daddy dearest Malcolm now and welcome back the Dark Archer Merlyn. Damien did show his board members who is boss just in case you know their memory needed some refreshing. This episode was basically action packed but not with a lot going on.

THE FLASH - Escape from Earth-2 Vibes

You should not read this article if you are yet to see The Flash Season 2 Episode 14 and if you are avoiding spoilers but hey, bet you knew that already

Escape from Earth-2 picked up from where last week ended and it was true to its title, the team did escape from Earth-2. In this episode, Zoom is on a large scale hunt for Harry; Cisco and Harry had to figure out a way to save Barry and Jesse with the help of Mr. & Mrs. Allen and an initially reluctant Killer Frost while evading Zoom’s capture. Meanwhile, back on Earth-1, Jay worked to fix the unstable breach as Caitlin tried to perfect on Velocity 8 to help Jay stop Geomancer who continued to terrorize the city.

ARROW - Sins of the Father

Sins of the Father was an epic episode. More solid than Unchained. Lots of cool sword fights and fights. Subsequent to Nyssa’s proposal to Oliver last week, he had to find a way to play diplomacy to try and avoid bloodshed as long as he could. That, of course, did not pan out as smoothly as he hoped but in the end Thea is saved, hooray!

THE FLASH - Welcome To Earth-2 Vibes

Welcome to Earth 2 amigos. Now, I know my excitement for this week’s episode of The Flash is justified because I really enjoyed the episode. It was great. Like episode Unchained of Arrow, it had quite a number of things going on but unlike Unchained, it didn’t seem all too much and loose. It was an enjoyable chain of events. Phew! There's so much to talk about this week. Brief recap: Cisco, Harry and Barry journeyed to Earth 2 through the last opened portal in Star Labs leaving Jay, Caitlin, Joe and Iris back to hold the fort. The breach collapsed sort of as they left which means they’ll be stranded in Earth 2 forever if Jay doesn’t work to fix it ASAP. Earth 1 crew had to battle a villain without Barry and Earth 2 crew’s plan didn’t go quite as planned to fins zoom and save Jessie.

ARROW - Unchained

Episode synopsis: The team faced a daunting tech-savvy adversary known as The Calculator. Back in Nanda Parbat, Nyssa escapes and is on a mission. Arsenal, Roy Harper is back to Star City

Arrow season 4 episode 12 was unchained alright because it had a whole lot of things going on which almost seem like too much for one episode tbh but that doesn’t quite mean it wasn’t a good episode because it was great actually. I enjoyed it. So… in few bullets, here’s unchained:

THE FLASH – Fast Lane vibes

Woo-hoo! When I say ‘Earth 1!’, you say ‘Earth 2!’. ‘Earth 1!’ ‘Earth 2!’ ‘Earth 1!’ ‘Earth 2!’ I don’t even know why I’m getting all super excited, we’re not getting that tour until next week’s episode of the Flash titled “Welcome to Earth 2!”, I’m excited for it.

Back to this week, Fast Lane was a great episode. It wasn’t as thrilling as last week’s episode for me but it was good. The villain this week, Tar Pit (thanks to the cat who name the names, Cisco) was kind of not much of a threat. He wasn’t that much of a headache to stop. This episode basically was about togetherness, I personally title it “Stronger Bonds” (or maybe Family Ties, jk).

ARROW - A.W.O.L.

You know what was A.W.O.L. in last night's episode? Damien Darhk. He's being true to his promise and he's out of town at the moment, leave a message after the beep please *beep* well, no message.

The episode started with Lyla and Diggle having a lovely walk before Alan Chang rained on their parade (ARGUS business). I guess you can leave ARGUS but ARGUS will never leave you. There were a number of other Lyla/Diggle moments. The Diggle brothers were also shown in flashbacks back in Afghanistan were they first met Lieutenant Joyner, the leader of the Shadowspire team (like H.I.V.E. isn't enough to deal with).

THE FLASH - The Reverse Flash Returns Vibes

Highlights
  • Barry had to deal with reverse flash
  • The West family said their goodbyes to Mama West
  • Patty left
  • Cisco vibed on a large scale
  • We catch a glance of Jay Garrick’s Earth 1 doppelganger
  • And oh yeah… turns out this is actually the Reverse flash’s origin story

Basically, it pretty much explained lot of questions I had last week.

Whew! Some episode that was last night. Maybe it’s just me but there was lot of crazy mad scientist time travelling talk happening in episode 10 but before I get to the crazy, let’s talk other stuff, shall we?

ARROW - Blood Debts

Ah-ha! Told you all it wasn’t Felicity in that grave (See All I know is Felicity is not dying). Boo-yah! (Olicity fandom dance). So… some comeback episode that was last night from Arrow midseason premiere. Episode 10 was quite something. ALERT! Spoilers ahead. Arrow season 4 episode 10 in few lines:

THE FLASH - Potential Energy Vibes

It's exciting that The Flash is back on TV yesterday! How much the return have been anticipated. I know I was expectant and it sure did not fail to deliver. Yes, it still remains on the list for my top 3 TV show. (Note: This article contains little spoiler from last night's episode, if you are avoiding spoilers in every way, you probably shouldn't read this any further).
In episode "Potential Energy", Barry was up against a villain nicknamed Turtle who had the ability to make time slow for everybody around him (and yes, that includes Barry) except himself. Turtle was going to be a good study to help them figure out how to defeat Zoom (Cisco's idea).
To the point, issues I have to discuss from last night.
