2013 AWESOME AND LAME MOVIES: TIME TO RANK

A big ‘THANK YOU’ to those of you who submitted the list for the ‘Most Awesome and Dumbest movies’ all through e-mails I must say and thank you. So, the list was quite a handful to collate as there were a lot of movies lists submitted especially for the ‘most awesome’ category. As you know, 10 moves will make it to that list and 5 to the list of the dumbest.

After the compilation of the lists, the following movies made it to the 2013 top 10 most awesome movies category (in no particular order):

2013 AWESOME AND LAME MOVIES

Like every other year, a lot of movies were premiered this year and it’s been a pretty interesting adventure in the movie world. A lot of great and frigging awesome movies you might never get tired of watching because it’s just that great and the list of those movies is almost endless.

Personally, the list for awesome movies this year is quite long and it will be really tasking trying to place a rank on each of these movies. Like trying to decide which is the best between Fast and Furious 6, G.I. Joe: Retaliation, Man of Steel, Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters, Thor: The dark world, Insidious 2, White House down, Hunger games: Catching Fire, Ironman 3, Oblivion, Red 2, Evil dead, The Croods, The Conjuring… See? The list keeps going and a lot of brain search will be needed to be able to successfully put a number to this movie on a list.

THINKING… WHILE I WAIT FOR JANUARY 6

If you are really in the Teen Wolf fandom like I am, then you probably are already starting to lose your mind in a good way. You must agree that it’s been a pretty long hiatus since August 19 (close to 4 months now) and now that the wait is almost over, I am more thrilled  about January 6 than ever. Especially after watching the trailer for 3B released this past week, I had to say “Well done, Jeff. My mind is lost.” That trailer was AWESOME! Teen Wolf is about to go dark; really dark. The consequence of the surrogate sacrifice Scott, Allison and Stiles went through in the 11/12th episodes of the first half of this season is coming to hit them in the face and I see it’s coming in a big way. As Deaton forewarned Scott that it will draw the supernatural like a beacon and there’s going to be like a permanent darkness around their hearts.

HER WALKING ANCHORMAN

On the list for this week is Her, Walking with Dinosaurs, Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues. (See here for movie plots). 3 great movies to look forward to this week.
Her is scheduled for theatrical release on Wednesday and you should want to see it. It should be good. This movie will answer the question ‘what happens when a lonely writer develops an unlikely relationship with his newly purchased operating system that's designed to meet his every need?’ This movie was chosen as the best film of 2013 at the National Board of Review Awards (more).

Interesting list of movies this week (see here for full list)

Christmas is just around the corner and this week Tyler Perry presents us with an early Christmas gift with his holiday comedy movie in A Madea Christmas. You know it will be fun, Madea lovers will know that. I’m not exactly a fan of Madea but, hey! I know that character is interestingly witty and fun. Watching Madea, the Pistol-packing grandma, as Wikipedia describes her in the movie synopsis is going to be a treat to usher a person into the jolly holiday mood here already.

DECEMBER 6, 2013 MOVIES

HAPPY NEW MONTH fellas! It’s December already (Christmas holiday is lurking around the corner, I’m happy). Thanksgiving is gone (hope you has a lovely one, by the way). RIP, PAUL WALKER

Paul Walker
This is one article I would never have dreamt of having to write not in like 30 years at least. I write this article with great and heavy pain in my heart and eyes filled with uncontrollable tears literally. I still can’t believe it; He can’t be dead.

I just got back from church to check my twitter page and I saw a tweet with hashtag RIPPaulWalker. My reaction was, ‘what kind of silly prank is this?’ I almost dismissed it as a stupid prank but I saw another tweet with the same hashtag and I thought ‘Oh My God! This can’t be true. Please don’t be true…’ I was saying all these in my mind while I knelt on my bed and typed Paul walker into a Google search box and there it was all over the top news. “Fast and Furious star Paul Walker dies in car crash”, “Paul Walker dies at 40”, “Paul Walker dies in Car Crash”… I went blank. I didn’t know what to say, the tears just formed in my eyes and started rolling down while I was just muttering ‘This can’t be true. God let it not be true. Let me be dreaming’, but alas! I wasn’t. I am not. Paul Walker really is dead.

Catching Fire is here at last… Hallelujah! Katniss Everdeen is back onscreen… Hurray! Okay, let me just chill and relax before I make an overly bigger big deal out of the movie; but really, I’m happy Catching Fire is coming to theater finally. I’ve been waiting for this movie for over a year now and finally, I get to watch it.
After the events of the prequel, The Hunger Games (Katniss and Peeta defying the rules making both to emerge as the winners of the 74th Annual Hunger games (only one person was supposed to emerge as the winner)), Katniss and Peeta return safely to District 12. They must leave home again to embark on a “Victor’s Tour” of the districts.

MY FAVOURITE THIS WEEK

Thor: The Dark World. O Yeah! It's definitely my favourite for this week. I mean, how can it not be?

It's from Marvel Universe, superhero stuff - Thor to be precise (one of my favourite comic superhero characters) and it starts a couple of my favourite actors; Chris Hemsworth (portraying the role of Thor) and Idris Elba (as Heimdall) . This movie is just got my favorite written all over it.

November (3-9) note

Hey Guys! It's quite a number of movies premiering this week ans I can't wait to watch them especially Thor: The Dark World.
I've actually been longing to see another part of Thor since I watched the first sequel for the first time (I've watched Thor about 13 times now) and I was itched more for it after watching The Avengers. It's going to be a g movie {I wouldn't want to miss the chance to see Chris Hemsworth as a god also ;)}. He's such a great (and might I add cute) actor.
